Selected personality characteristics of university students of management

Research background: Researching the topic of personality profiles future managers is one international challenges. In a global world, it ideal to find framework for ideally pursuing this profession. Existing studies indicate rather influences gender or other socio-demographic factors than study programs university students. Purpose article: The aim paper describe selected characteristics students in management comparison with group from fields at same university. following were measured: a) profile based on Big Five field neuroticism, extraversion, openness change, conscientiousness and friendliness, then b) locus control c) coping strategies. Methods: Quantitative research was carried out, where battery standardized tools used as technique: NEO-FFI questionnaire describing above traits, SVF-78 measuring strategies IPC scale internal external control. questionnaires administered total 164 České Budějovice (South Bohemian Region). Findings & Value added: From point view NEO-FFI, economists differ item (p = 0.005; F 4.387), which case also came out most significantly supported characteristic. On contrary, property neuroticism least represented target group. differs compared P dimension 0.009; 3.868), so these believe that their situation managed by influential people.
